Thrifting Haul

I know everyone is getting ready for fall and Han Solo season is almost upon us, but if you’re in Houston Texas it STILL feels like tropical weather (maybe all the tropical storms?) So, my thrifting haul this week was floral and bright! Guess I was trying to thrift the rainy weather away and who doesn’t like a good, colorful deal?!

The prize this week was a lovely Nipon Boutique dress. But first, I’ll get started with these adorable Linux? 😉 earrings for $2! WAY better than pearls alone, I found these guys in the same basket as a dangly pair of rainbow earrings.

I don’t usually carry a purse unless I am out on a date and this felt kinda cheap, but the colors caught my eye. I splurged $3 for this bright yellow purse because it’s so happy. My favorite part is the strap- it’s so fun!

I dabbled in housewares and found a few  items including these leaves for 49 cents each and this plate for $1.09. They go with my collection of ‘nothing ever matches, but it’s all sort of pretty’.

Behind the plate is a $6 pair of shoes. I really like how they lengthen the arch of my foot and look vintage. Maybe they are? I don’t know much about them, but like the cut out pattern and they’re light.

The best find was this Nipon Boutique floral dress because of all it’s details AND it came complete with original tags…from maybe 15 or 20 years ago. The store no longer exists, but if anyone knows anything about Kazumi’s at 2519 University in Houston Texas, I would LOVE to find out more! I think it’s neat to have a little retail/fashion history on my hands!

My favorite details include these pink bubbly buttons, but there are so many on this dainty dress.

The sleeves and pink stitches are what sealed the deal. And it’s 100% cotton.

The dress was $7. I think it was worth it!

Total cost of this thrifting haul: 22.07 + tax
